1 Dress, 5 Holiday Party Looks

11.2016

This time of year can lead to last minute invitations, multiple family events and lots of parties. To take the guesswork out fashion this holiday season, we’ve picked 1 special party dress (only $45.90 from Zara) and created 5 different festive looks around it. The outfits are styled with pieces you probably already have in your closet. We stuck with a basic black to keep things simple and chic – but you can get as creative with the colour pallet as you dare.

You might want to buy a brand new outfit for every special occasion, but don’t feel the need to. Being thrifty with one or two purchases plus wardrobe staples you already own will help you stay stylish and on budget!

Sparkly Velvet Dress with heels

The most basic way to style the dress is as is – since it’s a fairly simple cut you can wear whatever heels you like.

Dress layered under skirt

This is a great trick to get more wear out of your dresses! You can layer them under a skirt and wear as a top for a different look altogether.

Dress worn with black tights and booties

Throw on some black tights for when the weather is getting a little too chilly outside and stay comfy all night in basic booties.

Crop turtleneck sweater layered over dress

Wear the dress as a skirt by layering it under a crop sweater.

Wear as tunic with leather leggings

If you feel like covering up a bit more for the evening, why not throw on some leather leggings and rock the dress as a tunic?
