Well, it’s here. Festival season has officially started with Coachella kicking off this year’s music festivals in sunny California, bringing together crowds of hippies, hipsters and music lovers alike. Braids and waves will be at the forefront of the hairstyles we’ll see this summer. They lend to a very bohemian, undone, loose look. Try a large curling wand to achieve the soft waves we’re seeing, and run a smoothing brush through them. Finish with a large crown braid or multiple braids wrapped around each other for lots of texture.
Not great at braiding? That’s OK- the messier the better! For all of you short-haired and bob ladies, try this look by braiding the fringe down and across your forehead and pull it apart slightly to make it really stand out. Make sure you’re finishing this look with a soft hairspray, like Axis Werks dry finishing spray. Layer it for more hold. Side-parted or centre-parted, this look will be your quick and easy hairstyle this summer.
