Spring is wrapping up, but not without leaving us with a few treasures.
One of the highlights of this Spring was the launch of MAC Cosmetics new Samantha Ravndahl lipstick. Samantha graduated the JCI Makeup program and is a beauty influencer with over 2.4 million Instagram followers. As if we weren’t proud enough of this Youtube vlogger already. A huge bravo to Ms. Ravndahl on another successful endeavor! Her sheer nude lipstick color is gorgeous and a must-have in every artist’s kit.
NYX Cosmetics is on a roll with the opening of their new freestanding stores. The NYX Robson location just opened this month, and you will be sure to see some familiar JCI faces working behind the counter at both the Metrotown and Robson locations.
In addition to offering a fabulous selection of products at already great prices, NYX has just announced that they are offering a 30% discount at their freestanding store to current makeup students to facilitate and support your artistry! They will require your JCI student identification at the point of sale to honor the discount.
Sephora has just launched their brand new Summer Internship program. The Summer Internship Program is a paid internship and is designed to provide candidates with direct work experience in a specific department within Sephora Stores. During the eight-week program, interns will be paired with a mentor who will provide them with on-the-job work experience and role shadowing opportunities to further career aspiration.
Participants will also receive various training focused on client services, various departments and functional areas and an opportunity to interact with senior leaders in the business. In addition to working and training in a specific area, participants will participate in team designed initiatives and a final cumulative project to address a current company opportunity.
If you are a current student and would like to apply, Sephora has asked that you submit your resume directly to Jennine Cook (email@example.com) by June 5th. All submissions will be forwarded directly to Sephora.
