PART TWO OF IMATS BATTLE OF THE BRUSHES FINALISTS: STACEY KOCH

John Casablancas Institute Makeup Artistry student Stacey Koch is another JCI finalist who will be competing against recently graduated makeup artists at the 2017 Vancouver IMATS: Battle of the Brushes.

We are thrilled to see Stacey competing in the Beauty/Fantasy Awards Show on October 15, beginning at 3:15 pm. The theme for this year’s Beauty/Fantasy category is International Beauty.

Stacey is inspired by the endless possibilities to create and express a concept, character, and expression, which is why she enjoys practicing makeup. She enrolled in the Makeup Artistry Program at JCI because of the welcoming environment and creativity.

“The instructors at John Casablancas are the reason I chose this institute. The instructors are well-known in the Makeup Industry and are able to keep students up to date with the latest makeup trends and techniques.”

Stacey looks forward to being at IMATS: Battle of the Brushes this weekend and meeting new makeup artists who enjoy the art just as much as she does.

“My all-time favorite makeup brands are Makeup Forever and Graftobian!”

In the future, Stacey hopes she gets the chance to work with American actor, Jason Momoa.

“Your profession becomes enjoyable when you surround yourself with kind and humble humans.”

If Stacey had to pick her top three makeup products that she wouldn’t be able to live with, she would choose the M.A.C Eyebrow Pencil and Natural Radiance Prep & Prime, and L’Oreal mascara.

Makeup Artists Francesca Tolot, Joanne Gair and Alex Box are all inspirations to Stacey. She admires the work of Joanne Gair and how she perfects fabric painting, and Alex Box is definitely an Instagram inspiration with over 156K followers!

“Keep practicing makeup. Even if you’re not happy with a specific look, make a plan and perfect it for next time. It’s the only way you’ll get better! And remember to always keep your brushes clean.”

MAKE SURE TO CATCH STACEY KOCH AT IMATS ON OCTOBER 15 AT THE VANCOUVER CONVENTION CENTRE EAST (HALL B). FOLLOW JCI INSTAGRAM FOR MORE COVERAGE ON THE EVENT LIVE AND VISIT IMATS VANCOUVER FOR MORE INFORMATION ON THE EVENT.
