Happy Mani Monday!
Here’s the scoop: JCI Body Spa student Chelsea Behnsen crafts the perfect ice cream nail art and shows us the process, step by step with this nail art tutorial. The next time you’re feeling a little creative, grab a few colors and brushes and try this ice cream paint job for yourself. Before you start, gather the following items:
● Base coat, top coat* ● Beige/Nude nail lacquer ● Brown nail lacquer ● 2-3 pastel-colored nail lacquers ●A thin striper, nail art, or paint brush (for detail work) ● Foil, scrap paper, or anything to act as a paint palette.
*Optional, but it’s always best practice to use.
Step 2: Using a brown polish and a thin striper brush, create lines that run diagonally as seen below.
Step 3: Using the first of your three pastel colors, paint on “blobs” which will act as melting ice cream.
Step 4: Using the second pastel color, paint on another layer above the first color.
Step 5: … And the third layer.
Step 6: Use your striper brush and any color of your choice (we used white and yellow here) to add specks of color at the top. This little dash of sprinkles are perfect to finish off your ice cream cone look!
And there you have it, a delectable and easy treat that you can enjoy year-round! _________________________________________________________________
