Meet Kiera Bowman, a JCI student who has moved from Kelowna, BC to pursue her passion for makeup artistry. Her creative skills has landed her a spot in IMATS Vancouver 2015′s Battle Of The Brushes competition in the Beauty/Fantasy category.1. What inspired you to get into makeup artistry?I’ve always had a passion for the arts and painting, so when I discovered body painting it was only natural that I fell in love. I loved the idea of the face and body being the canvas, and being able to create live art.2. Do you have a favorite makeup look that you enjoy doing? My favorite look is just gorgeous dewy skin. It’s so easy to achieve and makes you look flawless and fresh.3. Name 3 makeup products that you can’t live without. Benefit’s “They’re Real Mascara”. Iconics’ “House Of Lashes”. Kat Von D’s Liquid Lipsticks.
4. What convinced you to choose to attend JCI’s Makeup program? The people. Everyone was so welcoming and sweet, it made me feel closer to home.
5. Describe your favorite moment(s) while attending JCI. Old age latex day.. It was so much fun seeing everyone look older and we all got into character and played along
6. What would you like to see happen after you graduate? I would like to see myself still being challenged and inspired every day. Also staying in touch with everyone would be great!
