Hair and makeup is a crucial part in the story telling at the JC Institute Porcelain fashion show. The show will transform the runway into a world of dolls through the use of clothing, visual display, and hair and makeup.
Opaque white faces with aubergine lips, penciled in eyebrows, lightly dusted rosey cheeks, and large thick false top eyelashes will give the illusion of life-sized dolls walking the runway. This overall look will grab the audience’s attention.
To continue with the doll theme, the hair will be styled in various ways but it will always be sleek and clean. Marcel waves, slicked to the head, extreme side parts and styled in two low buns are some of the hairstyles you’ll see.
PORCELAIN fashion show debuts on Tuesday, March 25th 2014 at Performance Works on Granville Island, doors open at 6pm and the show begins at 7:30pm. Tickets are available at JCI (220 Cambie) for $20 or $25 at the door. All net proceeds will go to Covenant House.
