October is already here and Thanksgiving is this weekend! Monday is a statutory holiday, so some businesses (including our school!) will be closed. If you’re lucky enough to have the long weekend off, here are some ideas of how to make the most of it:
Vancouver International Film Festival
Check out the movie listings at VIFF and find an awesome new film to check out.
Lost Souls of Gastwon Tour
It’s starting to get a little creepy around here! Check out a tour of Gastown‘s gruesome history and get ready to be frightened in our very own hood.
Stanley Park Ghost Train
Have a childhood flashback with opening weekend of the Stanley Park Ghost Train. The train is open during the day, but night rides (which are Mexican Day of the Dead themed) seem like the most fun.
Tsawwassen Mills mall just opened this week, and with several retailers new to Canada, you probably want to check it out. The mall is a bit of a trip from downtown, but grab your friends or family and make a day of it!
If you want a seriously seasonal activity, why not go apple picking? Willow View Farms in Abbotsford is open all weekend and has 22 varieties of apple.
