Given the potential planning for a full SkyTrain service shutdown on Tuesday morning, with a full-scale strike running until Friday, John Casablancas Institute will observe a relaxed lateness policy on all classes on those four days.

We understand how disruptive these strikes are, that’s why we have created an alternative route and plan below. We also recommend that you sign up to Translink BC’s alerts, in order to stay notified at all times. Click Here to get alerts!


Below are some options in case the strike affects you: 

– Please map out alternative routes and allow for more travel time . You can access this link for alternative routes:

– Note that this strike action does not apply to services operated by BCRTC (SkyTrain), West Vancouver Transit, West Coast Express, HandyDART, and First Transit (shuttles on Bowen Island and in Langley).

– You may wish to look into sharing a ride with classmates or colleagues, or by using a Car Share Provider like Zipcar, Evo or Modo. 

– For Parking, there are EasyPark lots on Water Street as well as on Pender St.

– Classes and schedules will run as normal.
