It’s cold, rainy and so darn hard to get out of bed these days! So hit the snooze bar, sleep in and give these 5 dirty hair hacks a try.
Before we go on any further, I want to make it clear that if you haven’t used a dry shampoo yet, you’re missing out on something huge! You are not a proper lazy hair girl if you haven’t gotten addicted to this simple time saving product. I could go on and on but I want to keep it simple: my current fave dry shampoo is a drug store one. My dirty little secret is that I have finally found an aerosol dry shampoo that doesn’t stink to high heaven, turn my hair white and powdery, or give me itchy scalp. This drugstore gem also washes out easily. What is it? Marc Anthony Clear Dry Shampoo from Shopper’s Drug Mart. Find it, buy it, use it. Then try these 5 looks to keep you looking stylin’ not stinkin’!
Sounds boring I know, but it’s the #1 easy to do roll-out-of-bed look. These days, the half top knot or space bun is even trendier. Try to pull it together enough to secure with some bobby pins and smooth flyways and strays with some hairspray. Short hair ? The half up is really easy, you can even add a clip in hair extension or two to bulk up your knot.
Wrap it up
A head wrap is super stylish and so easy on a crazy morning to go from tired to sexy in a second! I like using an extra long scarf, preferably in a stiffer material. Start by folding it in half lengthwise a few times then wrap pulling the ends to the front. Tie in a knot, wrap again and end up knotting the ends in the front and tucking the ends in. Finish with a red lip for a vintage glam look!
The messy pony
Backcombing your whole head at the roots then grabbing into a mid rise pony will look more intentionally done. Wrap a piece of hair around your pony and pin to secure and pull a few soft pieces around your face and voila, fancy pony!
Hats are a Must
Hats are fashionable, cool, trendy and a lazy girls secret weapon. Find a good black hat that can accessorize any outfit. Skip the embellishments and just keep it simple for the most versatile look. Forever 21 is a treasure trove of affordable hats that will get you compliments every time!
The more the better. Crown braids are quick, easy and conceal dirty hair in a pinch! Boxer braids are trendy but tricky so keep it simple with three strand versions like French or Dutch braids.
Now go ahead and hit the snooze, pick up some dry shampoo and get lazy this winter! Being lazy doesn’t mean you can’t be stylish, so use these tricks to get the best of both worlds.
