There is a new trend in the horizon that make you the coolest person going back to school: rosette sunglasses. They are cute and quirky and definitely make a statement. The best part? They are incredibly quick and easy to make yourself!
Here’s what you’ll need:
-A pair of thick-framed glasses of your choice. The shape and colour is completely up to you!
-A hot glue gun or super glue.
-Paper flowers or miniature silk flowers. They come in a variety of styles and colours and are available at craft stores and many dollar stores. If flowers aren’t your thing, you may opt for beads or pearls to create a similar look to the Chanel glasses Rihanna rocked at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.
-Depending on what kind of flowers you chose, you may alsoneed scissors.
First thing’s first; make sure your frames are clean and completely free of oils. Next, choose your design; you can put rosettes all around your frames, only on the top, or only the corners. Plan out your design before you begin glueing. Glue your flowers or pearls on one by one using enough glue to ensure they stay in place, but not too much you don’t want the glue overflowing onto the lenses. Continue glueing until you are satisfied with how your shades look, and voila! Make sure they are completely dry before rocking them!
