Fashion: Rewind Fashion Show Recap with Class 148

An era of funky styles, pop culture and the originality of the 90’s inspired FAD Class 148’s fashion show. With bold colors and familiar sounds, REWIND embodied the energy and feeling of the 90’s. Recycling looks and reworking old favorites make up some of the pieces of the show. From the visuals to the music, we definitely enjoyed a blast from the past!

Located at Performance Works  in Granville Island, REWIND literally took us back in time with old school cds, cassette and video tapes illuminating the space. Walking through the lobby you couldn’t help but bob your head and feel an urge to dance as DJ SEKO was spinning some 90’s tunes. As people started to flock in the lobby, the bar and silent auction were very popular with sponsors such as: Dipt, Sleepless Mindz, F AS IN FRANK, and many more who provided REWIND with some goodies!

Before the 7pm show, we went backstage to sneak a peek at some last minute prep work.. Without the help of volunteers, including fashion, hair, and makeup students and grads, REWIND wouldn’t have been possible.

rewind4 After a little pep talk and final touches, the models had their own little fun before the show started..

With retro outfits and music to match, the looks were a sure crowd pleaser amongst all age groups in the audience. Segments and styling credits go out to: Natalia Kambe, Jenalynn Ang, Kaylean Hall-Klein, Velt, R&C, Sleepless Mindz, F As In Frank, and Jahara Styles .

With Class 148’s hard work and dedication, they sure did an outstanding job! Last night’s show will be a memorable one and same with this group of talented young ladies! The best of luck to you all 🙂
