End of the year highlights are usually a way to see all of the year’s successes and memories, but in this 2019 send-off, we not only want to share these moments, but we also want to thank all our viewers, followers, readers and subscribers for coming with us on this adventure-filled year.
We’ve had moments with our students, graduates, instructors, office staff and our surrounding community and we couldn’t be happier to have had all of you join us in this 2019 journey!
In 2020, we are coming into our 42nd year of having established JCI Institute, and although 2019 was filled with amazing memories and events, we can’t wait for 2020 to start. We’re excited to start the new year with never-done before events, as well as our very awaited JCI Fashion Show.
We’re starting the year big and we can’t wait to share it with you all! So, without further ado… let’s close this year with a bang! And let’s cheer for 2020!
JCI MUA GRAD BREE-ANNA LEHTO LEO AWARD WINNER!
Bree-Anna and the Series of Unfortunate Events Team won a Leo Award for the Best Make-Up in Dramatic Series. She took on the role of Makeup Assistant of effects for Neil Patrick Harris’s character Lemony Snicket.
JCI FASHION SHOW HELPED RAISE $10,000 TO HELP BC’s HOMELESS AND AT RISK YOUTH AND SUPPORT COVENANT HOUSE.
Two fashion classes presented their collections, Asylum & Commute. The Fashion Show was on the 24th of July at the Pipe Shop in North Vancouver. This year presented the biggest turnout of all past year’s.
WE PARTICIPATED IN OVER 30 EVENTS AROUND THE GREATER VANCOUVER AREA WITH OUR MUA & HAD STUDENTS AND GRADUATES!

JCI MUA Grads Chrissey Leyburn & Jessica Lauchlan won the best Makeup Award in the Blood N Guts Festival. They both worked on the 5 minute film Mister Seeker.
