IMATS 2015 Recap: Battle of the Brushes (Part I)

Over the weekend, JCI was well represented in the Battle Of The Brushes, one of the most anticipated competitions in the makeup world. With having 8 out of 16 competitors being JCI grads and students, we truly couldn’t ask for a better year!

We started Day 1 of IMATS Vancouver  with the Character Prosthetic competition. 8 competitors, 5 of which were recent JCI grads were given prosthetics which they had to incorporate  into their designs in 3 hours. The theme of this year’s competition was Age Make-up Challenge  in honor of Dick Smith, the godfather of make-up.

Here we have JCI grads: Amy Kikkert, Angelina Alvaro, Jaclyn Hachey, Christina Thunder, and Susana Icelo right before they started..IMG_7060 The energy was surely felt from the beginning of the competition with their bald cap applications…
