One week from today, Vancouver will play host to the talent and work of emerging fashion designers from around the world for Vancouver Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2016! VFW is the perfect opportunity for yet-to-be-discovered fashion designers to display their latest collections to buyers, media, and the general public. Even more importantly, it allows these creatives to let the industry know what’s “in” and what’s “out” for the upcoming season.
As fans of Vancouver Fashion Week and any event that supports emerging talent, we at JCI are pleased to be official sponsors of the week long event, from March 14th to 20th. As sponsors, we’ve got the exclusive opportunity to provide makeup and hair services to all the models on the final two days of VFW.
We’re even more excited to present three JCI Fashion alumni and their collections throughout the week. On Wednesday, March 16th, Sally Sandusky, a knitwear artist will be displaying her Sally Omeme creations on the runway. On Sunday, March 20th, we’ll be presenting our final two grads: wedding gown and dress maker, Bonnie Chung of Je Vis Couture and Mark Abenir of Averynthe, whose pieces are known to give off dark, dramatic, and provocative vibes.
Stay tuned and come back to the blog as we’ll be sharing their stories with one-on-one Q&A’s, some behind-the-scenes looks, and coverage of Vancouver Fashion Week.
