JCI Highlights of 2017

From makeup and hair goals, to lash extensions and fashion shows, 2017 has been a marvelous year full of opportunities for students and graduates of John Casablancas Institute. Looking Glass Donation

Each year JCI donates the net proceeds from their four fashion shows to a select charity. In 2013 the Looking Glass Foundation was the lucky recipient. Last week wewere delighted to donate $10,000 to the charity that supports people with eating disorders. Fashion grads from Class 142 Kelli Klassen, Jessica Moneo, Andrea Young and Roy Wilcox presented Looking Glass Director, Joanne Gordon, with the donation on behalf of JCI. One Forty Two is Tonight!

We started out with nothing when we began planning for our I·IV·II: One Forty Two fashion show in September. However, an unreal amount of donations and sponsorships poured in to help us out. We would not have a fashion show without you all! Our sponsors range from retail businesses like Secret Location and corporate businesses like Collins Barrow. The Look of One Forty Two

The One Forty Two fashion show is based on a high class dinner party that takes place in a forest setting. We plan to incorporate elements of the wilderness in a variety of ways but one of the most fundamental is the hair and make up. We want our models to look effortlessly beautiful, so they will wear minimal concealer and foundation, only a touch or two of a pastel eyeshadow colour, and their lips will also have a hint of colour to complete the look.
