Fashion Business & Creative Arts
Fashion is a dynamic, ever-changing industry. In this program, well look at fashion through all kinds of lenses- historic, creative, business, technological- with the goal of giving you a well- rounded, relevant understanding of the industry. You’ll complete this program prepared for a career in merchandising, buying, sales, public relations, advertising, the supply chain, creative direction, illustration, fashion show production and much more.
Core Fashion Design
This 26-week Fashion Design program consists of in-depth theory, practical knowledge, additional open lab time and hands-on, creative projects. To ensure that your training is current and cutting edge, we’ve teamed up with top fashion designers from Alexander McQueen, Aritzia, Lululemon, Helly Hansen, Kit and Ace, and OAK+FORT, giving you access to some of the most design-oriented minds in the city.
Makeup Artistry
JCI’s award-winning Makeup Artistry Diploma Program has a reputation for supplying the most sought-after graduates who become movers and shakers in the industry. During the one-year, full-time program, you’ll gain comprehensive training in makeup artistry — from beauty and glamour to nightmare-inducing special effects.
Hair Art Design
JCI identified there wasn’t a modern curriculum that addressed the changing needs of hairdressers and their clients. By replacing outdated methods with an innovative, fresh approach, JCI was the first to launch a program that considered the future of hair: the Hair Art Design Program. As a graduate of the hair art design program, you’ll receive a diploma and acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to enter the hair industry and make your mark.
Freelance & Bridal Makeup
This six-month certificate program will teach you what it takes to gain a foothold in the beauty industry, equipping you with the skills you need to become a successful, working makeup artist. You’ll start with the basics, like skin care and everyday makeup, then go on to master bridal makeup, high-fashion, glamour makeup, airbrushing, and hairstyling.
Body Spa + Medi Esthetics
We developed this program to offer students like you the most advanced Body Spa and Medi Esthtics curriculum out there. That’s why we teamed up with the top medical estheticians, facialists, aromatherapists, nail technicians and holistic massage practitioners in the industry – to make sure your coursework and methods are always cutting-edge.

Our Campus
JCI is located in Gastown: one of Vancouver’s most creative and vibrant neighbourhoods.
