Program Overview

The SKIN+ Clinical Esthetics Program* is a revolution in esthetics education. JCI has integrated medi-clinical training into every stage of your journey—not as an afterthought, but as a core part of your skillset from day one. While other schools save advanced medi-esthetics for the end, we’ve designed a 360° curriculum that blends traditional spa therapies, advanced skin science, and hands-on clinical technology training at every level. You’ll graduate confident, employable, and ready to deliver visible, results-driven services that today’s clients demand.

Over the course of 1 year, you’ll:

Master spa foundations like massage, waxing, nail care, and lash services.
Build confidence with advanced medi-technologies—including microneedling, IPL, EndyMed RF, and Bela MD+—woven into each module so you graduate fluent in both spa and clinical environments.
Train with real clients in JCI’s professional spa, developing the polish and client care skills needed for long-term success.
Earn your Certified Laser Technician credential and enjoy access to Dermalogica’s global education portal to keep your skills current.

With 360° medi integration and unmatched industry mentorship, this program is built for those who want more than a certificate—they want to set the standard in esthetics.

As part of the SKIN+ Clinical Esthetics* Program, students train with Dermalogica—an industry leader in professional-grade skincare. Known for its results-driven formulas and commitment to education, Dermalogica brings both credibility and confidence to your training. You'll learn to work with their full product line in class, preparing you to deliver tailored treatments that meet modern client expectations. As a JCI graduate, you’ll also gain exclusive access to Dermalogica’s global online education platform for six months, keeping you ahead of trends and innovations long after you leave the classroom.

Curriculum

Unlike traditional programs, SKIN+ isn’t divided into “basics first, advanced later.” Instead, medi-clinical theory and hands-on application are integrated into every course segment:

CARE: Spa foundations + medi fundamentals (nails, waxing, lash lifts, spray tanning, Bare 808 laser theory)
BODY: Massage techniques, wraps, and EndyMed RF + LUVO IPL integration for body contouring and rejuvenation
FACE: Advanced skin analysis, facials, dermaplaning, microneedling, chemical peels, Lucent IPL, and treatment plan design

You’ll also gain:

Laser + IPL safety training with in-depth physics, anatomy, and contraindication screening
Hands-on training with industry-leading platforms: Bela MD+, DP4 Microneedling, EndyMed RF, Lucent IPL
20-hour real-world practicum placement in a professional setting
Business + Career Prep: spa management, resume building, and entrepreneurship fundamentals

Graduates leave JCI with the skills to confidently deliver spa-level relaxation services and results-driven medi-esthetic treatments—a combination that makes you a top hire in a competitive industry.

*SKIN+ Clinical Esthetics is the proposed new name for our Body Spa & Medi Esthetics program—the new name is currently pending PTIRU approval.

This program has been approved by the Private Training Institutions Regulatory Unit (PTIRU) of the Ministry of Post-Secondary Education and Future Skills.

Career Pathways

SPA THERAPIST

A spa therapist delivers a range of wellness and skincare services including massage, facials, body treatments, and relaxation therapies. They create a calming client experience while using professional techniques to promote skin health, stress relief, and overall well-being.
MEDICAL ESTHETICIAN

A medical esthetician works in clinics, dermatology offices, or medi-spas performing advanced skincare treatments like chemical peels, microdermabrasion, laser, and IPL. They combine clinical knowledge with hands-on technique to support results-focused skin health and anti-aging goals.
LASER TECHNICIAN

A laser technician specializes in cosmetic laser treatments such as hair removal, skin resurfacing, and pigment correction. They are trained in safety protocols, skin typing, and technology settings to deliver high-precision results in a clinical or spa environment.
SKIN THERAPIST

A skin therapist analyzes skin conditions and performs customized treatments including facials, peels, and advanced modalities. They work with professional-grade products to improve skin function and appearance while educating clients on long-term care strategies.
MASSAGE PRACTITIONER

A massage practitioner applies therapeutic techniques like Swedish, Shiatsu, and Lomi Lomi to promote relaxation, circulation, and stress relief. They may work in spas, wellness centers, or private practice to support clients’ physical and emotional well-being.
WAXING & TINTING SPECIALIST

A waxing and tinting specialist offers precise hair removal and brow/lash enhancement services. They are trained in techniques for face and body waxing, as well as safe, flattering tinting for brows and lashes across a range of skin and hair types.
SPA MANAGER

A spa manager oversees the daily operations of a wellness or esthetics facility. They lead teams, manage bookings, maintain high service standards, and ensure a seamless client experience—balancing business strategy with a strong understanding of spa services.
FREELANCE ESTHETICIAN

A freelance esthetician provides skincare and wellness services independently or on-location. They manage their own business, build client relationships, and offer flexible treatments tailored to individual needs, from facials to body therapies and more.
