A practical path into the hair industry
The Hair Art Design Certificate is a 7-month, hands-on program focused on how professional hair work operates across cutting, colouring, styling, client services, and salon environments. It’s built for people who want practical skills, clear direction, and a realistic path into hairstyling roles.
You don’t have to have it all figured out
Not everyone comes to hair school knowing exactly where they want to work or what kind of stylist they want to become. Some students are interested in salon work. Others are drawn to bridal, session styling, or freelance paths. Many simply want strong foundations and a clear way in.
This program is designed for people who want structure, hands-on learning, and a supportive environment to pursue a career in hair.

Career Progression in Hair
Hair careers build over time—through experience, consistency, and continued learning. Most professionals begin in assistant or junior roles, then grow into more specialized or independent positions.
This certificate is designed to support the first stage of that journey and provide a foundation you can continue building on.
Graduates are prepared for roles such as:
Junior or Assistant Stylist
Salon Support Stylist
Colour or Styling Assistant
Bridal or Event Hair Assistant
These roles focus on building experience, learning salon workflows, and developing technical confidence.
Early Career Roles
With Experience
With time and on-the-job experience, professionals may move into roles like:
Independent Hairstylist
Colour Specialist
Bridal or Freelance Stylist
Session or Editorial Hair Stylist
At this stage, work typically involves more independence, specialization, and client ownership.
Longer-Term Paths
Over time, some professionals progress into senior roles, education, platform artistry, salon ownership, or freelance specialization. There’s no single path—hair careers are shaped by experience, reputation, and professional growth.
Multiple start dates throughout the year
This program runs on an accelerated 7-month schedule with start dates in March, April, and July. Each intake follows the same curriculum, hands-on training, and professional expectations—giving you flexibility to start when you’re ready.
